TruSTme - qPCR analysis of wastewater inlet and outlet

Welcome to the demonstration paged for the TruSTme project. What you see below is a box chart showing the abundance of antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs) in wastewater for the sites shown.
You can interact with the figure to explore the data. Currently you can chose the date range, and one or more sample replicates to plot. When more than one replicate is chosen (default is for all) the results shown are the aggregate of those chosen.
The box plot shows the comparison of the distribution of log(abundance) for inlet and outlet for each of the AMR targets. The whole dataset is aggregated across all samples and sampling dates selected. From the documentation: A box plot (or box-and-whisker plot) shows the distribution of quantitative data in a way that facilitates comparisons between variables or across levels of a categorical variable. The box shows the quartiles of the dataset while the whiskers extend to show the rest of the distribution, except for points that are determined to be “outliers” using a method that is a function of the inter-quartile range. This kind of plot shows the three quartile values of the distribution along with extreme values. The “whiskers” extend to points that lie within 1.5 IQRs of the lower and upper quartile, and then observations that fall outside this range are displayed independently.
The qPCR data presented in this dashboard has been obtained by analysis according to the protocol developed at NORCE. You can read the protocol (PDF document) HERE
